Besties Brad Pitt and Bradley Cooper made it to the US Open yesterday.
Hollywood’s two biggest Brads sat together at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens to watch the men’s singles final match between Serbia’s Novak Djokovic and Russia’s Daniil Medvedev. The Moneyball actor and the A Star Is Born actor-director were photographed watching the game intently, and chatting and laughing between sets.
Pitt, 57, kept a low profile in a blue collared shirt, gray pants, a white bucket hat, and sunglasses, while Cooper, 46, wore a light-blue button-down over a matching T-shirt and navy trousers.
Though they keep their friendship relatively private, Pitt and Cooper are very close. The Fight Club actor even credited Cooper with helping him get sober in a January 2020 award acceptance speech, per AND! News. The Guardians of the Galaxy actor has spoken publicly about getting sober himself when he was 29.
“I got sober because of this guy. And every day’s been happier ever since. … I love you and I thank you,” Pitt said.
The stands of the final match were filled with several Oscar nominees. The Brads sat next to Bohemian Rhapsody star Rami Malek and his costar Joseph Mazzello. Pitt’s Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood costar Leonardo DiCaprio was seated nearby with his girlfriend, Camila Morrone. Also scattered around the box were Spike Lee, Gayle King, and Law & Order: SVU duo Mariska Hargitay and Chris Meloni.
