It’s always interesting to hear actors’ opinions on their characters, especially when they play superheroes with powers that are impossible in real life. A few days ago we learned that Zazie Beetz would like Domino to be with Harley Quinn, or Iron Man, something practically impossible right now. Now Karl Urban has come out to talk about his character during the Dallas Fan Days 2018 convention, mentioning that if possible he would like to play another Marvel character.

A Karl Urban we know him best for having played the unshakable Eomer, Third Marshal of the Horsemen’s Mark, in the film adaptations of JRR Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers – 96% and The Lord of the Rings – The Return of the King – 94%. In the MCU we saw him appear in Thor: Ragnarok – 92% as Skurge, the guardian of the Bifrost Bridge who supplanted Heimdall during Loki’s reign in Asgard, while he was posing as Odin.
During his lecture at Dallas Fan Days, he was asked Urban about which character he would like to play from the Marvel comics, to which he replied (via Comicbook):
Skurge. Skurge would be a good one. I don’t know if one day I will be able to do it but if I could, that would be it.
Moments later Urban He took the question seriously and replied that he has never really thought about going back to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Listen, I don’t know. It’s really a great question. I don’t know, I hadn’t even thought about the possibility of doing something else in that world. I don’t even know if that can be done; Once you play someone in the Marvel universe, I don’t know if you can go back and be someone else. It can?

The truth is that you can not, we have never seen someone die or leave the MCU and then return with another character. That only happens in the movies of The Lord of the rings and The Hobbit. However, it is possible that Urban may return but to another Marvel universe: Deadpool.
I would love to be in a Deadpool movie. I love Deadpool, and certainly when I saw it for the first time I noticed similarities, especially in the opening sequence, which reminded me a lot and which surely took inspiration from her, to Dredd; at least the way Dredd was recorded. Sorry. Dredd arrived a little early in terms of being a R-rated comic book movie.
Wishes of Karl Urban They are not so far-fetched, because there we have the clear example of Josh Brolin and his zigzagging between Disney’s Marvel and Fox’s Marvel. For Disney, he was in charge of giving life to Thanos, the genocidal bearer of the Infinity Gauntlet; and for Fox we saw him playing the role of Cable in Deadpool 2 – 85%, who end up joining forces with the antihero to achieve a common goal. But everything is very uncertain in reality; With the purchase of Fox by Disney we do not know what to expect, or even anticipate the future of the cinematic universes of the Avengers, X-Men and Deadpool. 2019 is the key year.
