Yacht magnate Attessa walks around Cartagena wearing a hat and shorts

The tycoon Dennis Washington, one of the richest men in the world, walked this Sunday, wearing a yellow linen shirt, shorts, hat and dark glasses, very plump through the streets of the walled city of Cartagena.

The businessman was accompanied by several friends who approached informal vendors of hats and crafts on Santo Domingo and Baloco streets, among others. Vueltian hats were even measured.

The magnate owns the luxury yacht Atessa, one of the largest in the world, which arrived in the city several weeks ago and is anchored at the La Bodeguita dock, where it is the object of admiration. Even a tourist attraction has become for the luxury and naval exuberance never seen in this port.

The billionaire came to the city since the end of last week. It was the first time that he walked through the colonial zone of Cartagena. Washington is considered by Forbes magazine as one of the 100 richest men in the world, with a fortune that exceeds 6 billion dollars. His luxury yacht docked in this port about three months ago. His employees were waiting for him.

The tycoon paced like just another tourist. He walked, smiling, with a cold bottle of national beer in hand, to ease the Sunday heat.

Very few on the street knew who it was. The businessman entered several clothing stores, such as the boutique of the Cartagena designer Ketty Tinoco, where he acquired several garments.

The magnate was accompanied by a group of personal escorts who covered his route, step by step, through the streets, squares and corners of the historic city.

EL HERALDO surprised him walking through the colonial city and he exclusively photographed him.
