The Boys star shares Killer Homelander’s ‘Zoomies’ mashup

A hilarious “Zoomies” -style video has hit the internet showing Homelander’s many takeoffs throughout The Boys from Amazon Prime Video.

The video was posted by Homelander himself, Antony Starr, and ties together Homelander’s many abrupt exits throughout the series. However, while most of the clips show the hero on the run, the video ends with Homelander pushing his son Ryan off the roof of his house.

“Zoomies” refers to a sudden burst of energy in dogs, which usually results in running in circles. In this case, the term refers to Homelander’s lift off from the ground and his flight (or zoom) in various scenes from The Boys. Homelander’s “zoomies” video mashup also includes audio from the popular “Whee!” from TikTok.

At the end of the first season, it is revealed that Homelander has a son. This story is further explored in season two, when Homelander tries to find out if his son possesses the same superhuman abilities as him. The video of him pushing his son off the roof is actually an attempt by Homelander to see if his son can fly. Later in the season, Ryan is revealed to have powers, including super hearing and thermal vision. He even uses his abilities to take down Stormfront in the season two finale.

While the leader of the Seven is often portrayed as sadistic, Starr casts a very different tone when it comes to his social media, often posting funny behind-the-scenes photos and videos. Her posts are highly appreciated by fans and even castmates like Jessie Usher, who plays A-Train in The Boys. Usher commented on Starr’s post, joking with him about the “Whee” sound in the video and that it reminded them of the noises they made while filming the first season. Stephanie Leonidas, who worked alongside Starr on American Gothic from CBS, also added to the fun, commenting, “I love this.”

Although Starr’s performance as Homelander is convincingly terrifying, this post is one of many that Starr uses to comment on and poke fun at his exaggerated character. The second season concluded with the capture of Homelander’s son, Ryan, by the CIA, and with Homelander’s public announcement of Starlight’s return to the Seven. In a question and answer session, el showrunner deThe BoysEric Kripke confirmed that fans can expect the Homelander arc in season three to be that of a homicidal maniac, explaining that the character is “cornered” with the blackmail of Queen Maeve and the kidnapping of her son.

The Boys from Amazon Studios stars Karl Urban as Billy Butcher, Jack Quaid as Hughie, Laz Alonso as Mother’s Milk, Tomer Kapon as Frenchie, Karen Fukuhara as Kimiko, Erin Moriarty as Annie January, Chace Crawford as The Deep, Antony Starr as Homelander. and Aya Cash as Stormfront. The third season has no release date yet.
