Venom: Let There Be Carnage | First reactions say it is superior to the first film

Three years after Venom was released – 35%, we are waiting for the sequel that will bring Carnage, one of the villains that fans wanted to see on the big screen for a long time. Although the first film was not very well received by critics, it was a resounding success with fans, as shown by its numbers at the box office and the large difference between its critical rating and the rating given by the public. Now, a select group of viewers already had the opportunity to see Venom: Let There Be Carnage and everything indicates that it will be as successful as the first installment (at least among the audience).

Do not miss: Crossover de Venom y Spider-Man sucederá, dice Andy Serkis, director de Venom: Let There Be Carnage

Director Ruben Fleischer no longer returned to take over this film, instead we have Andy Serkis, known primarily for his performances as Smeagol / Gollum in the trilogy of The Lord of the rings and in The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey – 64%; like Caesar in the modern trilogy of Planet of the Apes; and as Snoke in Star Wars: The Force Awakens – 92% and Star Wars: The Last Jedi – 91%. However, Serkis has dabbled in the world of directing for a long time and has two feature films in his career: Una Razón Para Vivir – 67% and Mowgli: Tales from the Jungle Book – 48%.

If we are to believe the first reactions that have appeared on social networks, Serkis did a good job, and together with Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock / Venom and Woody Harrelson as Cletus Kasady / Carnage, he has managed to surpass what was done by Fleischer. Some praise the unbridled action, the protagonist’s story, and his relationship with the symbiote.

In today’s superhero movie landscape, dominated by the hit Marvel Cinematic Universe and the DC Extended Universe, Sony Pictures wants to compete with its Spider-Man villain films. For now they have only released Venom and in a month it will hit theaters Venom: Let There Be Carnage. Morbius will debut in 2022 and we will see if it succeeds in creating a franchise that will rival the two largest of the moment.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage has its premiere scheduled for October 1 in the United States, and October 7 in Mexico. According to the first reactions, which you can read below, the end credits have a big surprise, but there is no detail at the moment about what it is, and we will have to wait to find out:

Well, I can say with all my heart that @VenomMovie was absolutely a carnage. I loved it too much! Thanks @cineworld for inviting us!

Thank you Sony Pictures and Andy Serkis for such a fun trip with #venom.

The guys are going to watch this movie and thank them later because they did an amazing job Andy Serkis. My lips are firmly sealed.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage is a frenzied mix of buddy flick, romance (VenomEddie), and horror. He doesn’t waste time getting down to business and he doesn’t stop. Hardy is on fire and Harrelson is Carnage. DON’T MISS THE CREDITS!

Complete and utter perfect chaos! Go see the movie on October 15! #venom #fansfirst

I was lucky enough to be among the first to (finally!) See #VenomLetThereBeCarnage. I loved. The first Venom is my favorite of the modern MCU movies, and #Venom does all the clever next steps, telling a very human and very beautiful story for Eddie Brock.

#VenomLetThereBeCarnage’s greatest strength is its frenetic pace and exhilarating action. Combining the kinetic energy that Tom Hardy has with himself. Woody Harrelson enjoys being Kletus / Carnage and is perfect for the role. My God, stay on the credits.
